As part of our executive series, the ArisGlobal marketing department\u00a0<\/span><\/span>recently\u00a0<\/span><\/span>spent time with Ashok Katti<\/strong><\/a>, COO & President, APAC. Ashok graduated with a\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Bachelor of Engineering<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in Computer Science\u00a0<\/span><\/span>from Karnataka University<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0India<\/span><\/span>\u00a0then continued his education\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>receive<\/span><\/span>d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0an Executive MBA from the University of Connecticut.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ashok\u00a0<\/span><\/span>has\u00a0<\/span><\/span>over 25 years of experience in engineering, software development, an<\/span><\/span>d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0life sciences<\/span><\/span>, which<\/span><\/span>\u00a0has enabled\u00a0<\/span><\/span>him to help steer\u00a0<\/span><\/span>ArisGlobal into a new era of record growth for the company.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What\u00a0<\/b>motivates you about<\/b>\u00a0ArisGlobal<\/b>?<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I enjoy\u00a0working\u00a0in the\u00a0life\u00a0sciences\u00a0industry.\u00a0I got\u00a0attached\u00a0to it\u00a0as it\u00a0helps patients\u00a0at the end of the day.\u00a0Ultimately,\u00a0it\u00a0is\u00a0about\u00a0helping\u00a0a\u00a0cause.\u00a0I am\u00a0very proud\u00a0to be working\u00a0at ArisGlobal, helping\u00a0the\u00a0advancement of\u00a0drug and device\u00a0development,\u00a0bringing these therapies\u00a0to the\u00a0market\u00a0faster,\u00a0and making them safer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We also have an amazing\u00a0group of customers and working with them and helping them has been an absolute pleasure. For example, one of our customers is working on a COVID-19 vaccine, and\u00a0we’re\u00a0working very closely with them on this\u00a0in providing the necessary reporting solution to them.\u00a0We\u00a0are honored to be contributing\u00a0to this area and\u00a0doing our part.\u00a0Opportunities like this\u00a0are\u00a0what motivate me\u00a0to work at ArisGlobal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With everything\u00a0<\/b>going on during these<\/b>\u00a0unprecedented times,<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>how is\u00a0<\/b>Aris<\/b>Global doing?<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fortunately,\u00a0ArisGlobal\u00a0has\u00a0not been negatively impacted by\u00a0the COVID-19 pandemic. We\u00a0are lucky to have and support an incredible group of customers, some of which are actively involved in developing vaccine candidates for COVID-19.\u00a0Our customers still\u00a0rely on our\u00a0products\u00a0as essential technology,\u00a0and\u00a0from\u00a0that perspective,\u00a0it\u00a0has been\u00a0business\u00a0as usual\u00a0\u2013 full speed ahead.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0just that\u00a0the mode of operation has\u00a0changed\u00a0as now we’re working\u00a0from home.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We<\/b>\u00a0recently<\/b>\u00a0spoke to Clint Wolfe,\u00a0<\/b>ArisGlobal\u2019s<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>C<\/b>hief HR\u00a0<\/b>O<\/b>fficer<\/b>,\u00a0<\/b>and learned\u00a0<\/b>about the\u00a0<\/b>ArisGlobal\u00a0<\/b>COVID-19 Task<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>Force<\/b>.<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>W<\/b>hat initiatives\u00a0<\/b>has this task force\u00a0<\/b>put into motion\u00a0<\/b>for the employees<\/b>?\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As part\u00a0of the task force<\/a>,\u00a0we started\u00a0making decisions in\u00a0terms of issuing travel advisories and other\u00a0safety\u00a0and\u00a0precautionary\u00a0measures, and\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0been educating our employees. Thankfully\u00a0we have a strong infrastructure and I am impressed with\u00a0how\u00a0well it has worked. Most people\u00a0were able\u00a0to\u00a0immediately adjust\u00a0to working from home.\u00a0And\u00a0I think, overall,\u00a0the task force did a\u00a0great job in meeting\u00a0regularly\u00a0and making the\u00a0right decisions for the employees and\u00a0their safety.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Were there<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>additional\u00a0<\/b>task force\u00a0<\/b>initiatives for customers?\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It was very important\u00a0for us to ensure that our customers\u00a0would\u00a0not\u00a0be\u00a0impacted.\u00a0As you can imagine, we have one of the largest cloud\u00a0deployments in the industry\u00a0which we actively manage and maintain.\u00a0Before\u00a0our offices went to full\u00a0work from\u00a0home\u00a0status,\u00a0we made sure that everybody\u00a0would be\u00a0able to work\u00a0and\u00a0our project\u00a0executions\u00a0would be able\u00a0to\u00a0continue without any issues.\u00a0We did\u00a0everything\u00a0we could\u00a0to\u00a0ensure that even\u00a0when we\u00a0worked\u00a0from home, we\u00a0would be\u00a0able to do all the\u00a0necessary\u00a0activities\u00a0without any disruption.<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u00a0haven’t\u00a0had any issues\u00a0and\u00a0we have maintained strong\u00a0communication with\u00a0our customers. Now\u00a0everything is\u00a0running\u00a0smoothly,\u00a0and our customers have\u00a0shown us that they\u00a0appreciate\u00a0everything.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Has productivity been affected<\/b>?\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u00a0we have witnessed\u00a0is that,\u00a0interestingly, the\u00a0productivity of our employees has increased.\u00a0Our software\u00a0releases are coming on time. We\u00a0have been able to meet all of our\u00a0development plans.\u00a0For customer\u00a0projects, we\u00a0have been\u00a0able\u00a0to\u00a0meet the timelines that we\u00a0have set for\u00a0them\u00a0in terms of the\u00a0go-live dates, and\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0done this\u00a0without any delays.\u00a0This is an effective model and opens many opportunities for future operations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

W<\/b>hat<\/b>\u00a0accomplishments at ArisGlobal<\/b>\u00a0are you<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>most proud of?<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There are many\u00a0things\u00a0that\u00a0I’m\u00a0proud of\u00a0at this point.\u00a0For one,\u00a0ArisGlobal has\u00a0the largest multi-tenant platform\u00a0for\u00a0safety\u00a0with\u00a0over 350 tenants.<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve\u00a0also\u00a0recently\u00a0made\u00a0two\u00a0milestone releases\u00a0\u2013\u00a0LifeSphere\u00a0MultiVigilance<\/a>\u00a0and LifeSphere\u00a0Regulatory<\/a>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0next-generation\u00a0cognitive\u00a0platforms\u00a0for Safety and Regulatory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Last,\u00a0but not least, during this lockdown\u00a0and\u00a0work from home arrangements,\u00a0we have had\u00a015+\u00a0customer\u00a0\u201cgo-lives\u201d.\u00a0Given the circumstances,\u00a0I’m\u00a0very\u00a0proud of the\u00a0outcome.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
